Lightwing tube access ?

Hey all you Lightwing owners, the threaded sections welded onto fuselage tubes in places IE: wing-carrythru tube overhead pilot with the the little bolts threaded into them, are they for inserting oil/anticorrosive fluid into tubing ???? or am I missing the point entirely.
