The J120 is only LSA registered and only in Australia.

 

One of the reasons why it's cheaper is that unlike the J160 that cost near $1m to certify the factory can self-certify the 120 under LSA and a small fraction of the cost.

 

This was actually the primary reason for LSA in the first place, to deliver cost-effective and affordable aviation.
