glenns Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 All, As part of the South Australian Government Northern Express Way (NEXY) project the Gawler airfield (YGAW) is having some runway and taxiway work done. From Monday 16th of June through until Monday 30th June the Gawler Airfield YGAW will be closed to all aircraft. During this period the construction crews will be completing runways and taxiways which will include re doing and extending bitumen runways and the completion of taxiways. This will include earth moving equipment working across current grass and gravel runways. Please check with the airfield (08 85221877) if you intend to use our field anytime in the next month prior to planning any flights. Unfortunately as we are not a licensed airfield we cannot have a NOTAM issued.
