Helicopters Collide Camballin Western Australia 25/07/24

Emergency services are rushing to Camballin in WA's Kimberley region, where two helicopters have crashed.

Police say the helicopters appear to have collided shortly after taking off near Mount Anderson Station about 6:20am WST.

Sad update 

 

 

About 6.20am this morning, Thursday 25 July 2024, police received report of a helicopter crash near Mount Anderson Station in Camballin.

Early indications suggest two cattle mustering helicopters collided shortly after take-off. 

Both helicopters only had one person on board. Sadly, both pilots – a 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old man – died as a result of injuries received during the crash. 

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been notified and will conduct a transport safety investigation into the incident.
