This is a long shot, but how about somthing passive like electronic rust protection? First issue im aware of is it draining the battery during long periods when the aircraft is flown regularly. But prehaps this could be as simple as a basic solar panel on the dash of an aircraft as its hangard outside? Be nice im new ;)

Mmm, sounds a bit too Star-Trek for me... I reckon it'll just be that nice pale-green paint everywhere inside... well it made Spitfires look good, so here's hoping!
