stevron Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 27/8/16 I flew to Tumut for a BBQ and social gathering. The new extensions to the club house looked great. The day started out , smooth air , clear sky's and sunshine, by lunch the weather cooled but maintained clear sky's . I was interested in a powered hand glider from Camberra , after a lengthy conversation with the pilot , I decided that I am not ready for this type of flying. A jabiru had a flat nose wheel tyre during landing , plenty of people ready to lend a hand or offer advise. I would say 20 planes , but I did not count them , a mixture of trikes , GA and RA planes ( 1 powered chute) For pilots to stay at the club house there's accommodation unit on site . Before I realised it was time to leave , what a pretty valley , what a great bunch of aviators and friends See you next time Tumut aero club and friends. Brumby 610 3
PapaFox Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 We also popped in there on Saturday. Not a huge turnout, but as I understand, also not widely publicised this year. The countryside around here is an absolute picture at the moment.
