Sloper Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 The Sloper has splash fed bearings, Chev used it up until 1953. White metal bearing on the crank and 4 shims in the conrods to set up the gap. Last forever, l have dropped the sump in the car to remove a shim on a hammering bearing to fix it. We had it on a dyno a couple of years ago 29hp at the rear wheels, exactley what the manual said. Not bad for a 76 year old. regards Bruce Â
