Gliding field accident

A very tragic accident occurred last Sunday at the Canberra Gliding Club airfield at Bunyan. The doors of the tug annex to the hangar were caught in a severe wind gust which overpowered those trying to secure them. Joe Elso was severely injured and died later in hospital.

 

My thoughts go to his family and friends, and to the members of my old club.
