You're on the mark, Col. There seems to be an undeclared war on anything done by government. The corporate world in general (and Murdock's media in particular) take every opportunity to undermine Government agencies, yet our whole economy is dependent on Public Servants doing their job conscientiously. Every round of job cuts removes a few more highly experienced people and runs down the morale of those who remain.

Corporations depend on our universities, standards associations, regulators and other infrastructure, but many won't pay tax to support them. The Greek disease is coming our way...
