Guernsey Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Welcome Flying Pig, that name is familiar to me as my first ever flight in an aircraft at the age of around 8yrs was a Miles Aerovan which was often called the Flying Pig and occasionally the Flying Tadpole. Where did you get your name from?? Alan.
Phil Perry Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I thought that I. . .was the flying PIG, due to my fondness to take off always chewing a bacon and pork sausage sandwich, ( With loads of HP Brown Sauce of course. . . ) but,. . . .perhaps not. . . . . I have actually flown a couple of aircraft which flew like a pig, the worst was a Victa V115,. . . . .but I found the reason was that I'd forgotten to remove the tie rope to a barrel of concrete attached to one wing. . . .happy days. . . . and a hearty WELCOME Mr. Flying Pig. . . . . .
