Old Koreelah Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 After wasting lots of time trying to get my PTT button to marry up reliably with my headset, I am wary of adding another set of plugs into my system. However, I am tiring of plugging in earbuds before putting on my headset- phone calls are hard to hear. Has anyone experience of installing an iPhone adapter? There is a big range advertised, some are "amplified"- is they any better that the simple, cheap ones? Can anyone recommend a good, reliable, inexpensive unit? 1
Peter008 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I have the IQ bluetooth headset and have paired the iphone to an adaptor that plugs into this. First tried it last week and was a success. When playing music on the phone it did not mute when any radio calls came in so will have to look at the settings before next flight. Otherwise, a good accessory.
Old Koreelah Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 Muting the phone call (giving priority to radio calls) is essential. I should have added that I have a standard Dave Clarke headset, so no bluetooth.
