Online petition to remove ASIC for pilots

I've started the petition "Autstralian Federal Government: Remove ASIC cards entirely." and need your help to get it off the ground.

The petition has already recieved 700 signatures in it's first week of operation so is on track to achieve a result for us all.

 

Here's why it's important:

 

ASIC cards are a costly ongoing impediment to sport aviation in Australia. They were introduced as a knee-jerk reaction to 911 and do nothing to improve security at airports. ASIC cards are an ongoing costly annoyance for all sport pilots. Our licences should fulfil this requirement irrespective of which branch of aviation we are affiliated with.
