Human beings are very intelligent, during our evolution we found that certain activities were cracking our skulls, common sense would depict that you should cease from these activities, but no we invented the helmet.

We wear helmets flying PPC's. I have a set of Icaro with the headset incorporated but quite expensive (valuable noggin) but some flyers are getting the kids skateboard helmets from Amart or Big W that are reasonably priced, offer good protection, are well ventilated and you can gouge a channel inside for the headset strap.
