Admin Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 CASA wishes to advise that Civil Aviation Advisory Publication – CAAP 42ZC-2(0) – Maintenance of amateur built aircraft which was published 8 January 2013 has been amended and republished. Section 16 of this CAAP previously stated that a modification required CAR 21M approval or assessment by an authorised person which is incorrect. This Section has now been amended and explains that the requirement is that a CAR 21M person (among others) may assess the aircraft and advise the registered operator if he or she is reasonably satisfied that the aircraft can be safely flown. CASA apologises for any inconvenience this may have caused.
