dazza 38 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Howdy C172 VH-JGR crashed near Beaudesert, its was from Archerfield.Pilot flown to a Brissy hospital by Careflight.Happened around 13.30 this arvo.He crashed in a relative flat paddock, with no obstructions.

Gibbo Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Just saw the vid on Win. Damn hard impact with Left wing completely fold over the right hand wing. Door hanging off the strut in a vertical position with the left hand side opened up like a sardine can. Damn lucky to even survive. Hope the pilot gets out without to many lasting issues.

Gibbo Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I would say a low speed turn near the ground and the left wing touched and right wing (still having air) completed the flip due to drag. Looked like the nose hit at about 30%.. ouch.
