hi everyone my involvement is with gyros

a mate has got a problem with a rotax 618 that over the last 12 months has become very tempremental with its start up procedure,does not have a primer or chokes, have been starting by puffing into the balance tubes to choke the engine but lately has been getting harder to start, also spark does not appear to be all that great, is this normal,are these coils known for giving problems any hints or help would be appreciated

Sounds pretty normal for a 618...
