Guest courtenay Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 To which extent is it possible not to cover with fabric (Diatex or otherlike) the fuselage of a Minimax? Is it possible to do it safely, giving it the look of an Airbike?

I am not very familiar with the Minimax, is the fuselage welded tubing? I have vague recollections of a ply skin, perhaps that is around the cockpit?

Even though it is just 'material' it does add significant structural integrity to the airframe. It may be possible to overcome that, I don't know how, as you are essentially building and flying a whole new completely different untested plane. Scratch build mentality... FWIW :big_grin:
