Makes you wonder why that can't happen for recreational aircraft accidents, with the police report forwarded to RAA or other pertinent governing body.

I thought that was exactly what happens, and that for VH registered aircraft the police didnt get so involved.....

From the last discussion on accident investigation, I thought that for recreational aviation accidents, the police had the lead, called on RAA assistance if the felt it necessary, but then hung onto the report unless providing it to a colonial inquiry.

If RAA has all the reports, then they should be available publicly a la ATSB.
