How much time spent on theory?

In case there is confusion I was not meaning to sound as if I wanted to do it 'hard and fast'. I was just wondering how much time people spend on it, and it seems the answer is a lot. Doesn't really matter though because I think I could allow an hour or two on the weeks I don't fly just to read and keep up to date.

Hi Jake "Hard and fast rule", is a figure of speech.Which means "stringently enforced", so what I meant was "there is no hard or fast rule ". I mean everybody studies differently .Cheers.

I think you'll find there are 5 exams for your Pilot Certificate. They are Pre Solo, Air Leg, BAK, Radio & Human Factors.
