The clandestine missions for a small group of air crews based in Perth in World War II were to cross perilous skies above the Indian Ocean unarmed with top secret microfiche films and people vital to halting the Japanese war machine.

I knew the Catalinas flew from the Swan River here in Perth, but I didn't know about the "Double Sunrise" operation.

I remember reading some of the missons out of Bowen lasting 21 hr plus.

i remember seeing 2 of those three blokes at bull creek when i was doing volunteer work there a while back... interesting never ever herd about that cheers for the insight pud
