I came across this app which looks pretty good for us VFR flyers:

It goes to show valuable these tablet thingies are going to make a huge impact in our flight bags, especially with the Samsung 7" screen smart phone and others coming out

There is a heap of stuff I would love to do, if only the Oz aviation information was easier to get without breaking terms of service or making a large financial risk given our limited pilot population :-(

 

I think the iPad size is too big for cockpit use which is one of the reasons I will be getting one of the 7inch Android devices and converting my apps to that. Maybe...
