Guest burbles1 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Happened to catch a glance at my newsagent of a DVD called Ice Pilots, and I'm glad I picked it up. It covers the US Air National Guard and their sorties to Greenland and Antarctica with Ski-Hercs. The trips centred on how the aircraft carry scientists and equipment to very remote locations. Good coverage of in-cockpit activities, flight planning, challenges landing in whiteout blizzard conditions, and lots of technical guff on aircraft performance, radio conversations, etc. 8/10.
Tomo Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 As I was rain bound the other day at Caboolture, I made good use of my uncles Foxtel and watched "Ice Pilots". I was hooked! a great show.
